Remy Felix Vas

CPCAB L4 Diploma In Therapeutic Counselling, MBACP (Accred)
Remy Felix Vas - Integrative Counsellor

About Me

Hi – my name is Remy Felix Vas and I’m an Integrative counsellor. Whatever brings you to counselling, perhaps I can help.

Having had counselling myself, I can’t tell you how powerful simply having the space with another person listening and understanding can be. The foundation of my work is Person Centred Therapy, crucial in building trust and the therapeutic relationship. I feel I am a pro-active therapist and I will tailor my approach to suit what works for you best. I may employ Gestalt techniques, existential therapy, motivational interviewing, CBT, Psychodynamic and solution focussed therapy depending on what you are experiencing. I am not here to give you advice or tell you what to do; we will work through whatever you are experiencing together to achieve something that feels right and realistic for you.

I qualified with a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling in March 2023 and have been working with clinically supervised clients since 2021. Just a small selection of the issues I have worked with include anxiety, depression, bereavement, self-concept, sexuality, self-harm, suicide ideation, creativity, social anxiety, low mood, self-esteem and specific men’s issues such as masculinity and male expectations. I am an Accredited Member of the BACP, which means I have conducted at least 450 counselling sessions and my practice meets their higher standards. I offer a free telephone consultation so whatever you are experiencing, lets see if I can help.

Prior to becoming a counsellor, I was a freelance music composer, producer and performer for over 20 years working in bands, as a solo artist and soundtracking a wide range of music for TV programmes, Online, Film and cinema ad campaigns. My first instrument is the guitar which I still enjoy playing and recording with. In fact, I can’t walk past one without having to pick it up!

I feel I am incredibly personable and aim to offer you a safe and confidential space, free of judgement and advice where you can feel heard and understood. I aim to work with you through whatever you are experiencing and offer you a fresh perspective to ultimately make your own decisions, get you out of feeling stuck and help you move forward.

I have regular supervision to ensure I am working safely and effectively, am fully insured and am a member of the Information Commissions Office with regards to notes and GDPR.

Costs

£70 for a 50-minute session.

I work in person, online and over the telephone.

For in person work I currently offer Tuesday mornings from 7 am with the last session starting at 11am. Pre-work/Morning sessions can be a great way to start your day.

Contact

I can be contacted at [email protected], through WhatsApp or phone on 07305 999609 or through my website at www.rfvcounselling.co.uk.

It’s incredibly important that for therapy to work, you are with the right therapist; someone you feel you can trust, is there for you in the moment and accepts you for who you are. Please don’t hesitate to contact me for a brief, confidential and informal chat to see I could be right for you.
