Hello, I’m Isa, a body-integrative psychotherapist and a registered BACP member.
I have experience in trauma, sex therapy, emotional regulation, relationships therapy and different forms of distress.
I currently work in the NHS as a family therapist, supporting parents and their children. I also run a private practice where I offer body psychotherapy to adults who are facing emotional or relational challenges, or who want to explore themselves more deeply.
How do I practice
My practice is rooted in Body psychotherapy, curiosity, creativity and shared responsibility.
Body psychotherapy is a type of therapy that views the person as a whole, where mind and body are deeply interconnected. It recognises that thoughts, and physical experiences are all linked.
How Body Psychotherapy works
In addition to listening to the verbal narrative, this experiential approach also attends to the body, recognising that emotions, memories, and feelings are often stored and expressed physically. The body has its own way of telling the story.
This way of working supports clients deepen their connection with themselves as well as the regulation of the nervous system. It may include practices such as body awareness, breathwork, bioenergetic exercises, biodynamic massage, and body mapping.
