Emma Light - Therapist & Counsellor

Hello I’m Emma, a humanistic psychotherapist working with individuals, couples, and groups both face-to-face and online. I’m also the founder of East London Therapy.

I believe that therapy helps us understand our behaviours and patterns, creating opportunities for meaningful change in how we navigate life and relationships, especially our relationship to ourselves.

I see you as the expert on your own life and offer a safe, non-judgemental space to explore your challenges and strengths at your own pace. My approach is empathic, flexible, and tailored to you, combining warmth with gentle challenge to support your growth.

I began my career in Public Relations in the City of London, developing strong coaching, communication, and interpersonal skills. I understand the pressures of balancing work, family, and relationships. As a parent, I’m passionate about supporting other parents both in their parenting roles and as individuals.

I work with issues including anxiety, self-esteem, burnout, eating disorders, body image, addiction, communication skills, and parenting. I also specialise in menopause, sexuality, and ethical non-monogamy, providing a supportive space to explore these areas.

Therapy is an opportunity to better understand yourself and make lasting changes. I’m here to help you on that journey.
