Dip. Therapeutic Counselling, MBACP (Accred)
Remy Felix Vas - Integrative Counsellor

About Me

Hi – my name is Remy Felix Vas and I’m an Integrative Counsellor. Whatever brings you to counselling, perhaps I can help.

I have gained extensive client experience working with adult clients between the ages of 18 and 80 from many different backgrounds and I specialise in working with Musicians, Actors, Artists and the wider creative industries. The foundation of my work is Person Centred Therapy but I recognise you are individual, unique and I will tailor my approach to suit what works for you best. I may employ Gestalt techniques, existential therapy, motivational interviewing and solution focussed therapy depending on what you are experiencing.

I am not here to give you advice or tell you what to do but having had counselling myself, I can’t tell you how powerful simply having the space with another person listening and understanding can be. We will work through whatever you are experiencing together to achieve something that feels right and realistic for you.

I qualified with a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling in March 2023 and have been working with clinically supervised clients since 2021. Just a small selection of the issues I have worked with include anxiety, depression, bereavement, self-concept, sexuality, creativity, social anxiety, low mood, self-esteem and specific men’s issues such as masculinity and male expectations. I offer a free telephone or email consultation so whatever you are experiencing, lets see if I can help.

Prior to becoming a counsellor, I was a freelance music composer, producer and performer for over 20 years working in bands, as a solo artist and soundtracking a wide range of music for TV programmes, Online, Film and cinema ad campaigns. My first instrument is the guitar which I still enjoy playing and recording with. In fact, I can’t walk past one without having to pick it up!

My creative background means I understand the incredible pressures that working as a creative can put on ourselves and who we are. When its good its amazing. When it’s not, it can affect every aspect of our lives, our relationships with others, our creativity and our identity.

I feel I am incredibly personable and aim to offer you a safe and confidential space, free of judgement and advice where you can feel heard and understood. I aim to work with you through whatever you are experiencing to offer you a fresh perspective to ultimately make your own decisions and move forward at your pace.

I am an Accredited Member of the BACP, which means I have conducted at least 450 counselling sessions and have further proved my competency as a practitioner through their accreditation process. I have regular supervision to ensure I am working safely and effectively.

Costs

£60 for a 50-minute session

I work in person, online and over the telephone.
