Samantha Falconer - Sex and Relationship Therapist

Why Work With Me

I’m friendly and I care, I aim to put you at ease quickly about this intimate work. But I’m also practical and goal-orientated, so much of this work is figuring out what’s going on and why, and then what we can do about it.

Specialist Areas

With individuals:

  • Painful sex
  • Orgasm issues
  • Libido issues
  • Erectile and ejaculation problems
  • Compulsive sexual behaviours and problematic pornography usage
  • Concerns around kinks or fetishes
  • Sexuality or gender questioning
  • Shame

With couples:

  • General relationship problems
  • Mismatched libido
  • Affairs
  • Poor communication
  • Mediation

Approach

I’m trained in pluralistic therapy, meaning I tune into you, the client, as an individual and work with the best method for you and your presentation. In my experience this can work well for neurodivergent clients where “prescriptive” therapy may have been difficult in the past. I’m ADHD and non-monogamous myself and know what it’s like being squeezed into boxes that don’t fit, so I get it, it’s one of the reasons I became a therapist.

I adhere to GSRD Therapy ethics (“gender, sex and relationship diversity”) which was coined by Pink Therapy to highlight the needs of LGBTQIA+ clients and those in non-normative relationships to have an informed and allied therapist.

The nature of this goal-focussed work means that long term work is unusual unless the presentation requires it. My biggest satisfaction as a therapist is sending clients off on the rest of their journey, as one client said, “I can take the wheel from here”.

You can book a 20 minute “meet and greet” with me on Zoom to see if I might be the right person for you.

Rates

In-person rates are £90 for individuals and £120 for couples, with a discount available on a pre-paid block of six.
